As I shared with you last week about letting go; one of the things that I had to really let go of was the betrayal that happened to me as a teenager. Only a few know about that betrayal, and it took me until this past January to face it. There was a certain person in my life that exposed himself to me( the 2nd violation of my childhood), and from that very second it distorted my view of a man. I buried that night out of fear and struggled with my eyesight while looking at men from that moment on.
One night in February while preparing for our trip to the Rockies; I stopped to look at my phone and this movie from a TV show that played in the early 90's popped up. It was called "Little Girl Lost" and it was based on a true story. It was about a little foster girl who had been molested by her biological father. As I stopped to rewatch it the Creator said, "pay attention to her name." Well, her nickname was BEANS. Growing up my nickname was BEANIE. As my heart began to feel overwhelmed, and the tears began to fall; I chose in that moment to verbally say that "I truly forgive him." (I said his name out loud) I then asked the Creator to heal my eyesight and to help me to never struggle with that again.
A few days later we then made our way to the Rockies and spent a day in Hidden Valley snow sledding. I got down to the bottom of the hill, and just laid there. I watched as the snow blew over me and knew at that moment the Creator had just sealed my past. My healing was now complete, and the scars were now removed. All shame is now gone!
No matter what you may have endured on your journey; the Creator will heal you if you let HIM. HE will go to the depth of that wound to cleanse and restore you. HE is the great healer! HE will seal your past, remove your scars, and remove all of the shame in your life just as HE did with me. Now I would like to share a song with you as an example of just how personal HE will make it with you because HE loves you so much. Your healing will be the most memorable moment of your life. Remember the greatest words ever spoken to your soul are the ones that come from the Creator.
